The register worked at 20 people. It is struggling at 60.
Month end is an argument about leave, salaries wait for the accountant, and the cupboard holds the only copy of everyone's PAN card. ZekoHR puts it on one record you can run without an IT person, free for a year.
Up to 50 employees free for 12 months. No card, no sales call.
What stops working between 25 and 100
Month end is an argument
Attendance from one register, leave from another, and the two disagree. Leave and attendance sit on the same record and payroll pro-rates from the LOP count HR marks.
Salaries wait for the accountant
The accountant gets the sheet on the 3rd and pays on the 7th. Payroll runs in-house with pre-flight checks, a register export, and payslips published the day you finalise.
The cupboard holds one copy
ID proof, education certificates and appointment letters in a steel cupboard. The Documents Center verifies uploads, tracks expiry and raises requests to fill gaps.
Run by whoever runs the office
No IT person, no implementation project. Leave, attendance and the directory on one record; payroll with pre-flight checks and payslips in each portal; expense approvals with GST capture and advances tracked. Billed with a proper GST invoice after the free year.

From registers to one record
Import the register
A CSV of names, codes, departments, joining dates and salaries. Validate, fix the flagged rows, commit. Invite everyone by email.
Collect the file
Raise one document request to the whole company for ID, address and bank proof. Uploads enter the verification queue; HR verifies with a click.
Bring payroll in
Assign salary structures, mark attendance, run the draft, finalise, publish. The register CSV goes to your accountant for the statutory filings.
When ZekoHR is not the right choice
You want statutory filings generated
PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS are pay components you set; ZekoHR computes the payslip but does not file the ECR or returns. Your accountant still does that from the register.
You need biometric attendance
Attendance is recorded by HR as days and loss of pay. There is no device integration or clock-in.
You need a report builder
Expense and recruitment reports exist with CSV export, as do the payroll register and audit log. A general custom-report builder does not.
Common questions
We run on paper registers today. Where do we start?
With the employee import and a document request. Two weeks in, leave and documents are in the system; payroll follows when your salary structures are set.
Do we need an IT person to run this?
No. It runs in the browser at your subdomain, defaults are pre-seeded, and the knowledge base is built in with contextual help on every screen.
Do we get a proper GST invoice?
Yes. Plans are billed in rupees with a GST invoice, no setup fee and no minimum contract.
What does support look like?
Email support from the team that builds the product, plus the public knowledge base and the status page. We do not yet publish support hours, so we do not claim them.
