The front-of-house reality

What turnover does to a paper system

A joiner every week

Each one needs an appointment letter, ID collected, a uniform issued and the food-safety policy acknowledged. An onboarding template runs the same checklist for everyone and shows HR what is still missing.

Nobody has a desk

Leave, payslips and policies have to reach staff on their own phones. The portal is mobile-first at youroutlet.zekohr.com, with nothing to install.

Complaints go to the manager, who is the problem

Harassment in a kitchen is rarely reported to the chef. An anonymous grievance channel with a tracking code goes straight to HR, and only HR sees the case.

Why it fits a hospitality group

Outlets administered centrally, staffed locally

Each outlet or city is a company with its own holidays and weekly offs. Outlet managers approve leave; central HR runs onboarding, payroll and letters. Uniforms and devices sit in the asset register so exits are clean.

  • Onboarding templates with document requests per joiner
  • Mobile-first portal for leave, payslips and policies
  • Asset register for uniforms, devices and keys
  • Anonymous grievance channel seen only by HR

How teams use it

How hospitality groups roll it out

Outlets as companies

One company per outlet or city with the local holiday list and weekly-off pattern. Outlet managers get the Manager role for approvals.

One joiner checklist

Build the onboarding template once: ID, bank, uniform, policy acknowledgement, food-safety training record. Every hire gets it on day one.

Payslips and a feed

Run payroll monthly and publish payslips to phones. Use the feed for shift announcements that need an acknowledgement, and kudos for the team that handled the wedding.

Honest fit

When ZekoHR is not the right choice

You need shift rosters and clock-in

ZekoHR does not roster shifts or read a biometric device. Attendance is HR-marked days and LOP, fed into payroll.

You need tip pooling or service-charge distribution

Those are variable pay lines entered per run; ZekoHR does not compute them from sales.

Staff have no personal email

Each login needs an email address. Where staff do not have one, HR applies leave and publishes payslips on their behalf and the self-service benefit shrinks.

FAQ

Common questions

Can outlet managers approve leave without seeing salaries?

Yes. The Manager role approves leave and expenses for direct reports and sees nothing of payroll. Permissions are enforced on every request.

How fast is onboarding a new hire?

Invite by email, the onboarding checklist is attached automatically, document requests go out, and the appointment letter generates from a template. Minutes of HR time per hire.

Can we track uniforms and keys?

Yes. The asset register records issue and return per person, with history on the profile, and offboarding shows what is outstanding before settlement.

Do different cities get different holidays?

Yes. Each company has its own holiday calendar, and restricted holidays let staff choose regional festivals.
